  18. There is a repair number for the phone company.  In my area, it's 611.

  29. Filters remove the signal as well as the interference.  Get it fixed 
  30. corectly.  The phone lines are constantly going bad, and this is just 
  31. another case of that.

  34. comp.dcom.telecom, and alt.dcom.telecom.
